Student Voice Club Updates
- Sacred Teaching for February/March is Truth – Turtle. Truth is having the knowledge of our cultural teachings. We know who we are in our heart. By knowing that, we know the truth.
- Spirit Day – Wednesday, February 19 – Dress Like a Book Character Day. Please follow the same guidelines as Hallowe’en – please no masks, props, be respectful, and be able to learn while wearing what you choose.

Friendly Reminders & Updates
- School Council – Next meeting Tuesday March 11 at 6:00pm in the Learning Commons. This will be our annual School Planning and Engagement presentation and survey. Please visit our School Council website page.
- Lockdown Practice – The morning of Thursday, February 20, we will be practicing our second lockdown drill. Please check your email for a schoolmessenger this week for a letter with full explanation.
- Staffing Update – Congratulations and welcome to Education Assistant Portia Hamandre, who is joining our EES class as an EA on a permanent basis. Portia has been with Cecil Swanson as a Lunch Supervisor and an Acting Education Assistant for the past several years.
- Family Day – Reminder that there is no school Monday February 17 for Family Day. See you on Tuesday!
- CUPE Local 40 Bargaining Updates - Work is underway to bargain a new collective agreement with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 40. Please visit the CBE Labour Relations Page for updates.
