Friendly Reminders & Updates

Seven Sacred Teachings – The teaching for February is Sabe - Honesty
School Council – Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 10 at 6:00pm. We are in urgent need of parent volunteer support for our Spring Casino which brings us over $70,000. We are at risk of losing our Casino. Please email Mr. Whitton at kmwhitton@cbe.ab.ca if you can help as part of the committee or volunteer!
Traffic Safety Reminder - We have had several concerning situations involving jaywalking and families crossing the street. Please review how to safely cross the street with your child, and please cross at marked crosswalks. Many students are not aware that drivers require increased stopping distance in the winter, even if they are following the 30km/h limit in the school zone. Please remind children to stop, look both ways, and to make eye contact with the driver before they cross so that they are sure the car is stopping. Drivers, please do not park near the crosswalks, especially around our small parking lot. This makes it hard for drivers to see the crosswalk, and makes it hard for the bus drivers to pull in and drop off the students. Thank you!
