Student Voice Club Updates
- Sacred Teaching for February/March is Truth – Turtle. Truth is having the knowledge of our cultural teachings. We know who we are in our heart. By knowing that, we know the truth.

Friendly Reminders & Updates
- School Council – Next meeting Tuesday March 11 at 6:00pm – online/in person to be announced. This will be our annual School Planning and Engagement presentation and survey. Please visit our School Council website page.
- CUPE Local 40 Bargaining Updates - On Feb. 19, 2025, CUPE Local 40 served 72-hour strike notice to the CBE. This means that the union will withdraw services beginning Monday, Feb. 24, 2025. During strike action, all CBE schools and buildings will remain open and classes will continue. However, a strike will have an impact on schools and operations, and some activities booked over the Feb. 22-23 weekend may also be impacted. Please visit the CBE Labour Relations Page for updates. Please note that during strike action, after school activities are limited. All staff, students, and families need to be out of the school before 3:30pm so that evening cleaning can occur. This means that if you have a meeting with your child’s teacher, you may need to reschedule the meeting within those hours. Please let us know if you have any questions and thank you for your understanding.
- Pink Shirt Day – Staff and students are invited to wear pink to recognize this day next Wednesday! Ask your child about how their classroom will engage in learning leading up to this day. Please see our news story: Celebrate Pink Shirt Day on Feb 26
- New Video Surveillance System Active - We are pleased to inform you that our new, upgraded video cameras outside the school are now active. This provides increased safety and security, as the new cameras provide full coverage of the outside of the school, as well as the parking lots. Please note that we do not have cameras inside the school.
