Student Voice Club Updates

Sacred Teaching for February is Truth – Turtle. Truth is having the knowledge of our cultural teachings. We know who we are in our heart. By knowing that, we know the truth.
Spirit Day – Wednesday, February 19 – Dress Like a Book Character Day. Please follow the same guidelines as Hallowe’en – please no masks, props, be respectful, and be able to learn while wearing what you choose.

Friendly Reminders & Updates

School Council – Next meeting Tuesday March 11 at 6:00pm in the Learning Commons. This will be our annual School Planning and Engagement presentation and survey. Please visit our School Council website page.
Winter Walk Day Postponement – We had planned this day for February 5, however we are expecting temperatures that are too low to be outside for this event. We will check the forecast and send out a new date shortly.
February is Black History Month – Every February, people across Canada participate in Black History Month events and festivities that honour the legacy of Black people in Canada and their communities. The 2024 theme for Black History Month is: “Black Excellence: A Heritage to Celebrate; a Future to Build”. This theme celebrates the rich past and present contributions and accomplishments of Black people in Canada, while aspiring to embrace new opportunities for the future.
