Friendly Reminders & Updates

• Seven Sacred Teachings – The teaching for January is Bear - Courage
• School Council – Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 20 at 6:00pm. Please check your SchoolMessenger for information on our Purdy’s Fundraiser – You’d only receive this if you signed up for commercial messages
• Staffing Updates 
• • We are happy to introduce our new E Secretary, Samantha Bradford! Please welcome Samantha, who is joining us on a permanent basis after the winter break. We are saying farewell to Ms. Mirna who has been helping us out in the office while we were finding our new E Secretary. Thanks, Ms. Mirna!
  • We expect to be welcoming back Ms. Peltier to our Grade 3 team after the break
  • Best wishes to Ms. Vuong who we expect will be on a leave beginning after winter break. We will be welcoming Ms. Anita Paringit to the Grade 1 team during Ms. Vuong's absence. Ms. Paringit has been teaching Grade 3 at Cecil Swanson the past several weeks, so we are excited to have her remaining with us for a bit longer in Grade 1!
• Winter Break Reminder - December 19 is the last day of school prior to winter break. We are looking forward to seeing you back on Monday, January 5. Happy holidays and happy new year to everyone! Thank you for all of your support this fall! We are so lucky to have such wonderful students, teachers, and families at our school. 
• 2026-27 Kindergarten Registration Opens January 12 - If your child turns 5 on or before December 31, 2026 please register online for kindergarten! More information here.
