Friendly Reminders & Updates
- School Council – We had our final meeting in May! Thanks to council and everyone for your support. We will be looking for new members to attend meetings, as well as volunteers for our Casino next year. Next meeting Tuesday, September 23 at 6:00pm – Please visit our School Council website page.
 - Safety Update – Air Quality – Did you know that we monitor the Air Quality at this time of year, and adjust our outdoor activities accordingly? If there is a high Air Quality Health Index, we may limit or cancel outdoor activities, and switch to an indoor lunch or recess. If you have any concerns around air quality and your child’s health, please feel free to reach out to us.
 - Gr 5-6 Diversity Cup Soccer – Good luck to our co-ed Soccer Teams this weekend! We had more interested players in our soccer club than spots on our team, so we held a random draw to determine who would represent Cecil Swanson at the tournament. Thanks so much to all of our coaches and athletes for your hard work and fair play at our soccer club and team practices! You make us proud!
 - Transportation/Bus – Reminder that bus-eligible families need to register on MyCBE by June 22 to ensure your spot on a route for September.
 - National Indigenous Peoples’ Day June 20 – Our students are involved in a week of learning leading up to this day, which celebrates and honours Indigenous strength and diversity. We recognize this day in conjunction with the Summer Solstice, a day that marks the season of growth, abundance, beauty.
 - Last Day of School June 26 – Stampede Breakfast and EARLY DISMISSAL Day - Reminder that the last day, Thursday, June 26 is an EARLY DISMISSAL Day. All students are dismissed at 12:10pm on this day. Our Stampede Breakfast will be serving from 7:45am until approximately 8:15. Families are welcome to join!
