  • Staff Farewells At our Grade 6 farewell ceremony, we will also say goodbye to a number of staff members who are moving on to new opportunities at end of June. Most of these staff were on temporary or short-term contract assignments. We are hope to see many of them back in the fall, either as guest teachers, or if new positions open at our school. Huge thanks to Teachers: Mr. Common, Ms. Sharma, Ms. Roy, Ms. Thomson, and Support Staff Members: Ms. Rayan, Ms. Emma, Mr. Michael, and Ms. Sajal. We also have two other teachers who have been with Cecil Swanson for several years, who are moving on to new opportunities at other schools. Congratulations to Mys. Sehn (Learning Leader – Ron Southern School), and Ms. Krygier (teacher – Col J. Fred Scott School) who has been away on leave this year. All the best to all of our amazing staff members, and thank you from all of us!
  • Back to School Information for 2025-26
    • Class placement – our teachers work in collaborative teams and regroup students frequently. Students are placed with a homeroom responsibility teacher, but work with most different teachers on the grade team. Our staffing process will not be fully confirmed until the fall, and we are not able to honour requests for specific teachers. However, if you believe there is a special learning consideration that we need to know about, please reach out prior to the end of June.
    • At the end of August, families will receive a call from their new teacher, and an invitation via SchoolMessenger to visit our Open House on Friday, August 29 from 10:00-12:00. This is a chance to meet your teacher, and see your classroom prior to the first day of school.
    • Kindergarten families will receive confirmation of AM/PM class placement via SchoolMessenger, along with information on the staggered entry dates.
    • Please see the Back to School Page of our website for the latest information. Our final approved school calendars will be posted there soon.
    • Please be sure you register for Transportation by June 22 if you plan to ride the school bus.
