Mr. Whitton’s Weekly Update November 3-7, 2025

Welcome back everyone! It was wonderful to reconnect with students and staff this week after some time apart. Our teachers are working hard to re-establish routines, and refocus students on upcoming learning experiences. Please be sure to check your email, as there may be adjusted dates related to school events, conferences, and reporting timelines. We will update you with this information as soon as it is available to us. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at the school.

  • School Events/Field Trips Nov 3-7  – CBE has asked schools to cancel or postpone most school events for this week. Thanks for your understanding that we are putting together this celebration in a very short amount of time! Thanks, teachers and students for your time and energy recognizing the important contributions of Canada’s veterans.
  • Staffing Update – We will be soon be saying farewell to our wonderful office secretary, Mrs. Kersch, as she has accepted a position at another school beginning November 17. Mrs. Kersch has been with Cecil Swanson for many years, and we will miss her care for others, and her many contributions to our school. Thank you, Mrs. Kersch, we will all miss you! All the best in your new school! We will introduce our new secretary once our staffing processes are complete in the coming weeks.
