Student Voice Club Updates
- Student Voice had our first meeting Wednesday! We chose Respect (Buffalo) as one of the Seven Sacred Teachings we will learn about during September and October. The Seven Sacred teachings are: love, respect, courage (bravery), honesty, wisdom, humility, and truth.
- Spirit Days - Student voice has chosen two Spirit Days. Pajama Day is on Tuesday, September 24. Cultural Dress Day is on Wednesday October 9. Check the calendar and your child’s classroom Weekly Update for more info.
Friendly Reminders & Updates
- School Council – PARENTS WE NEED YOU! Our council is very small because we had some council members move on to other schools this year. Council is an important part of our school, and we are at risk of losing our Council and Parent Association. This would mean a loss of over $50,000 over the next few years. Please come to our meeting at school on Wednesday, September 18 at 4:30pm and support our students!
- Parking – Thank you for not parking in the bus zone or the parking lots at pick up/drop off!
- Dismissal – Our instructional time goes right until 2:40pm so that we have the required number of instructional minutes, while keeping the longest possible recess and lunch times. Our students learn until 2:40pm, and then put their jackets on after the bell at 2:40pm. It may take them a few minutes to make their way out of the building to meet you outside. Our younger students will get a bit faster as they get into their routines! Thank you for your understanding!
