Student Voice Club Updates
- Buffalo – Respect is the selected teaching from the Seven Sacred Teachings for September/October
Friendly Reminders & Updates
- School Council – Our next School Council Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 21 at 6:00pm in the Learning Commons. This is our Annual General Meeting.
- Terry Fox Run – Our run was a huge success! Thank you to all the students and the families for cheering us on, or offering a donation. Cecil Swanson raised $297.40! Way to go!
- Parking – Next week, we will be using our new bus zone, which is to the far side of the staff lot. Please do not park in either of our bus zones!
- Building Security – Our building is secure for everyone’s safety. This means external doors are locked during the day. All parents should enter through the front doors and check in at the office if they need to enter the school. Please do not come into the building through any other doors. Our staff will be redirecting anyone who is a non-student entering these doors, and asking them to walk around to the office. This is for the safety and security of all children. Thank you!
- Orange Shirt Week – Thank you to our amazing teachers and students for their commitment to Truth and Reconciliation! We engaged in a week of learning about Treaty, Reconciliation, and Every Child Matters. This Friday it was wonderful to see so many students wearing orange, or having the spirit of Orange Shirt Day in their hearts!
- Child and Well-Being Webinars - CBE is offering a free webinar series. There are offerings the first week of October. Please see our Cecil Swanson Calendar to access these.
