Terry Fox Run Update

Thanks to everyone who participated in this event! Sadly, we had to postpone due to rain, but the rescheduled date was a huge success!

Our school community met for a virtual assembly on Google Meet prior to the run, where we watched the Terry Fox video: Terry Fox, Anything's Possible. We learned how Terry showed Care for Others by raising money for cancer research.

Mrs. Peltier (Grade 6) shared a personal connection to Terry Fox as she was able to see him completing part of his run in person. Mrs. Peltier inspired us to show the same type of goal-setting and dedication in our run as Terry did in his.

Our donation target was $100 and in true Cecil Swanson fashion, we came together to support this cause, raising over $300!! Donations can still be made at: https://schools.terryfox.ca/cecilswanson
