Student Voice Club Updates

Student voice has chosen Honesty (Sabe) as our next of the Seven Sacred Teachings.
Our April Spirit Days will be:
- Tues April 22 – Earth Day – students will learn ways to Care for This Place and our earth (Na’a)
- Wed April 30 – “Backwards day” – classrooms will plan how to celebrate this ‘fun’ spirit day in different ways during their learning.

School Council – Next meeting Tuesday, April 22 at 6:00pm – Please visit our School Council website page.
Kickstart and Restart Programs for Grades 4-6 – In support of our commitment to Safe and Caring Schools and student well-being, we are excited to introduce the Kickstart and Restart programs to our Grades 4-6 students. The Kickstart and Restart Programs are provided by guest speakers from McMan Calgary, an organization that partners with CBE schools to provide evidence-based instruction that promotes social and emotional development. The information provided through the program aligns with our Phys-Ed/Wellness (formerly called Health) curriculum. Teachers support the learning in the classroom. All Grades 4-6 students will receive the instruction for about one hour per week for the next several months, on Tuesdays. SoundKreations Dance Residency – Thanks to our School Council/Society for funding a week-long dance residency the week of April 28-May 2! Looking forward to seeing those cool moves!
