Student Voice Club Updates
- Sacred Teaching for February/March is Truth – Turtle. Truth is having the knowledge of our cultural teachings. We know who we are in our heart. By knowing that, we know the truth.

Friendly Reminders & Updates
- School Council – Next meeting Tuesday March 11 at 6:00pm – This meeting has been moved online due to CUPE labour action. This will be our annual School Planning and Engagement presentation and survey. Please visit our School Council website page.
- Parent-Teacher Conferences – Be sure to sign up for conferences. All conferences are online. Sign up opens at Thursday, May 13 at 4:00pm
- Remember to set your clocks ahead one hour this Saturday Night
- March 10-14 is Substitute Appreciation Week - HUGE thank you’s to our wonderful substitute teachers! Our school is so lucky to have them. We appreciate this is a challenging role, and are thankful that they tell us how welcome they feel at Cecil Swanson. Thanks to all students, staff, and students for making them feel part of our team!
- Parking/Traffic Safety – Please help keep children safe in front of our school by:
- No pick ups and drop offs in staff parking lots. We will be setting up pylons, please do not drive over them.
- No U-turns in the intersection or in the middle of the road – please drive around the block
- Be sure to drive 30km/h in the school zone
- Did you know it is against bylaw to let your children out of the car into the road? They must exit on the sidewalk side.
- Please use the crosswalk.
