Friendly Reminders & Updates
- Seven Sacred Teachings – The teaching for March is Beaver - Wisdom.
- Spirit Day Wednesday March 18 - "Backwards" Day - We invite everyone to participate in our fun "Backwards" Day! You can start by choosing an article of clothing to wear backwards. Classrooms will be coming up with other fun backwards activities during their learning on March 18.
- Classroom Complexity Team Funding - Cecil Swanson School is pleased to be receiving additional funding from Alberta Education to support a classroom complexity team made up of one full time teacher and two support staff. The goal of the team is to provide support to teachers to program for student learning needs, and to support implementation of strategies with students in the classroom. We will have more information to update you on staffing these positions in the coming weeks.
- SoundKreations Wrap Up - Friday was our final day with SoundKreations! Thanks to all the staff and students who participated. It was great to see everyone sharing their dance routines on Friday! Thanks again to our School Council/Casino Society for the funding!
- Book Your Parent-Teacher Conferences for March 19 - 20 - Please see our News Story for booking details.
- Book Fair Volunteers Needed - If you are able to support our Book Fair by volunteering during conferences Thursday evening or Friday during the day, please reach out to Mrs. Liukaitis at jbliukaitis@cbe.ab.ca or call our school office. Volunteers would need a current police clearance.
- Please visit our book fair - but remember it closes at 6:45pm Thursday evening, and 12:00pm Friday.
- School Council
- Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21 at 6:00pm. We are in urgent need of parent volunteer support for our Spring Casino which brings us over $70,000. We are at risk of losing our Casino. Please email Mr. Whitton at kmwhitton@cbe.ab.ca if you can help as part of the committee or volunteer!
