Mr. Whitton’s Weekly Update Oct 12-16 , 2026

Friendly Reminders & Updates

  • Seven Sacred Teachings – The teaching for October is Eagle - Love
  • Winter Clothing Support - Jacket Racket - Community Closet: Winter clothing request – Fill out form
  • Our Terry Fox Run was a huge success! Thank you for your donations, we raised over $130! Great work Cecil Swanson!
  • Field Trips and Volunteers - Our classes typically go on two field trips per year. Teachers are planning these experiences and will be able to share locations and dates soon. In order to go on field trips, we rely on parent volunteers. If you would like to volunteer this year, please talk to your child's teachers. You'll also need a current police check, and to complete the annual volunteer form. Please call the office if you need to complete either of these. Thank you!
  • October "No School" Days - Please remember there is no school Monday October 12, or Monday October 19 for Thanksgiving and a Professional Learning Day.
  • Photo Day Wed Oct 14 - Individual student photos taken today.
  • School Council
    • Our next school council/parent society meeting is Monday October 26 21, 2026 at 6:00pm in the Learning Commons.
    • This will be our Annual General Meeting - we are in need of new parents to support the roles of Treasurer, Council Chair, and Secretary, as these roles are or may soon become vacant. Please come and support council in any way you can!
    • You can contact our School Council if you'd like to volunteer, or with questions, at their email address: cecilswanson43@gmail.com
