Friendly Reminders & Updates

  • Seven Sacred Teachings – The teaching for October is Eagle - Love
  • Winter Clothing Support - Jacket Racket - Community Closet: Winter clothing request – Fill out form
  • No School Monday October 19 - Professional Development Day, no school for K-6.
  • Fees and Waivers - Student supply fees, lunch fees, and transportation fees are added to your MyCBE account on October 15. Field trip fees will be added once trips are booked, and are usually $40 or less per student. You can find information on Fees and Waivers on the CBE website. Please contact our office at 403-777-6690 if you have any questions on fees.
  • CBE Connections Online Newsletter - You can read further updates from the CBE in the October CBE Connections Newsletter
  • Spirit Day Friday Oct 30 - Hallowe'en Dress Up Day. Students are welcome to wear their costumes. Please remember the points below, and talk to your teacher if you have questions:
    • School appropriate, respectful, no scary costumes please. (Mr. W does not want to have to sleep with the lights on, neither do the kindergarten students.)
    • No masks, props, weapons, etc. for safety, either in classroom, outside, or on bus.
    • Students must be able to sit in their desks and learn, as well as participate in PE, outdoor recess, and lunch, or ride the bus.
    • Students should plan to arrive in their costumes, and plan to wear them for the day OR be able to change in/out of their costume easily in the classroom. Students will not be permitted to change into/out of costumes in the washrooms.
    • We do not share or give out candy, please.
  • School Council
    • Our next school council/parent society meeting is Monday October 26 21, 2026 at 6:00pm in the Learning Commons.
    • This will be our Annual General Meeting - we are in need of new parents to support the roles of Treasurer, Council Chair, and Secretary, as these roles are or may soon become vacant. Please come and support council in any way you can!
